January: ACTT: Advocating for Black Birthing Families in Your Community

January 16, 2025 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

This workshop equips you with the knowledge, skills, and tools to become an effective advocate for Black birthing people. Through the ACTT program, you’ll learn how to help your family, friends, and community vet maternity services, demand person-centered prenatal, birth, and postpartum care, and elevate the standard of support for Black families. ACTT trainers focus on raising awareness of human rights in healthcare and the critical role of holistic care. While we don’t provide medical advice or impose our views, we empower you to use what you learn to advocate both for your loved ones and within your community. Join us to amplify your voice and drive positive change in maternity care.

Speaker: Dr. Leslie Farrington, MD, Retired OBGYN, Co-Founder of Black Coalition for Safe Motherhood
